Fall Webinars Scheduled

I’ve finally been able to set up our Fall 2016 Information Webinar Schedule. These helpful one hour webinars are listed with all our PAIA Fall Recruiting/Travel Events under Admissions/Finances: Recruiting/Webinar Schedule. You do not need to pre-register for these webinars, simply paste the web-conference link into your browser, sign in and join us. We use Adobe Connect and after the presentation, you can even download the powerpoint with active links for following up on the information presented.

I have prepared two webinars for the fall:  Curriculum 101 and Applying 101.

Curriculum 101: The ABCs of Graduate Study in the Fields of PA and IR will provide a basic primer on graduate study in general (Master’s degrees – vs- PhD degrees), how to evaluate curriculum, what is the difference between and MPA and an MPP (if there is one – and the short answer is there is and there isn’t!), and how to evaluate programs to find the best fit moving forward for you. This webinar will also review the curriculum of all the degree options (including joint degree programs) at the Maxwell School in Public Administration, Policy and International Affairs.

Applying 101: Preparing a Competitive Application for Graduate Study in PA and IR will review all the steps you can take NOW to begin preparing to apply, give you insight into how admissions committees review applications and what they are looking for in applicants, and provide helpful tips (Do’s and Don’ts) for presenting your best application to a top school!  We will review each part of a typical application in this presentation and have plenty of time for Q&A.
