EU-US Relations – the Maxwell School and Hertie School’s ATLANTIS Dual Degree

For over a decade, both the Maxwell School and Hertie School in Berlin have been admitting students for a unique transatlantic dual degree focused on preparing graduates for public service careers intent on improving EU-US relations and understanding.
Admitted students progress through the ATLANTIS program as a multinational cohort, all beginning in Syracuse. Students are able to complete the MPA or MA International Relations in their first year at the Maxwell School followed by the MPP or MIA at the Hertie School in their second year. Students focus their studies across a variety of policy areas, broadly described as: Global Security and Intelligence; International Development; Public and Non-Profit Management; Leadership and Governance; Public and International Finance, Public Policy Analysis/Data Analytics; Human Rights/Humanitarian Affairs; Global Governance/European Governance; Innovation in Public Sector Management; and Environmental/Energy Policy and Sustainability.
