Vice Chair and Professor Catherine Bertini, along with our Associate Director of Student Services, Josh Kennedy recognized our December 2016 MA International Relations graduates in a lovely ceremony, this past Friday evening. Thirteen graduating students participated with friends and family from as far away as Seattle, WA, Cooperstown, NY and Pristina, Kosovo.

Also in attendance, Ryan Williams, Assistant Dean for the Maxwell – in – Washington program.  The ceremony was held at SU’s Greenberg House, which provided a warm and welcoming venue for the event.  Josh Kennedy welcomed those in attendance followed by Departmental Remarks from Vice Chair Bertini. Trevor Hublin, MA 2007 and current Foreign Services Officer with the US Department of State, gave the keynote talk, “Serving the Public”.  Following the Recognition of Students, Mr. Sari Dallal, MA 2013 and consultant with the World Bank, welcomed our new graduates to the Maxwell Alumni Family with the recitation of the Athenian Oath.   A reception followed.

Graduation and Year End Ceremonies are always a special time at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.  Whether they take place here on campus, or like this event in our nation’s capitol, any day we welcome new public and international service leaders to our alumni family is a day to celebrate.  Congratulations SU, Maxwell MA IR graduates of 2016!
