Civil Society Leadership Awards Application Deadline Dec 15

Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, College of Law and School of Education are partners with the administrator of the Civil Society Leadership Awards (CSLA) Scholarship programs.  The CLSA Scholarship provide for full funding to Master’s degree candidates who clearly demonstrate academic and professional excellence and a deep commitment to leading positive social change in their communities.  In recent years, the Maxwell School has welcomed three MEROL Scholars (Middle East Rule of Law) via this program to complete their MPA degrees.

These application for the 2015-16 awards – provided to help fully fund Master’s level study –  is open now with a deadline of Dec 15, 2014.   CSLA awards are provided to citizens of specific countries to enter into graduate programs in specific fields each year.  Citizens of the following countries (ONLY) are eligible to apply: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Laos, Libya, Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.  The competition is open and merit based. Selection is based upon an applicant’s fit with the program’s objectives, as well as the graduate admissions criteria of participating universities.
